Providing architectural services since 1932, Potter Architects is a medium-size firm, consisting of four licensed architects and a skilled technical staff. We are a third generation architectural firm, serving both the public and private sectors.  Our founder, Stephen J. Potter, AIA, worked as an apprentice for the master school architect of Union County, Mr. Fred Elsasser, for ten years prior to starting his own firm. After starting his own firm, Stephen went on to design numerous public buildings for the Township of Union, including the Municipal Building, all of the libraries and fire houses, as well as the police station.

Potter Architects is a full range architectural firm, providing architectural, planning, engineering, and interior design services including design, programming, planning, sustainability and LEED certification, and construction administration for both the public and private sectors. Our staff is a tight-knit group of experienced professionals dedicated to working together to ensure the best results for our clients.

Potter Architects ever-expanding list of clients includes a diversity of entities, ranging from municipalities and public school boards, to medical and pharmaceutical facilities, to large and small corporations. Although the client list may resemble that of a larger firm, our  organization is capable of servicing clients and projects of all sizes while maintaining the personal service found in the small architect's office.
